Creating Your First Timer

Creating a countdown timer with Rija takes just a few minutes. Follow this step-by-step guide to get started.


Step 1: Access the Timer Editor


  1. Go to rija.io
  2. You'll see the timer editor with a live preview on the right side


Step 2: Set Your End Date and Time


  1. Click on the Timer tab in the left sidebar
  2. Select your target date using the date picker
  3. Set the specific time for your countdown to end
  4. Choose your timezone to ensure accuracy


Step 3: Customize Your Timer


Use the sidebar tabs to customize various aspects:

  • Digits: Change the font size, weight, and colors of the numbers
  • Labels: Customize the "Days", "Hours", "Minutes", "Seconds" labels
  • Boxes: Add background colors or borders to digit containers
  • Background: Set a solid color or gradient background
  • Message: Add a title or headline above your timer
  • Fonts: Choose from various Google Fonts


Step 4: Preview Your Timer


The right side of the screen shows a live preview of your timer. Any changes you make are reflected instantly.


Step 5: Publish Your Timer


  1. Click the Publish button in the top right corner
  2. Wait for the timer to be saved
  3. You'll receive an embed code and a shareable link

  • Copy the embed code to add the timer to your website
  • Share the direct link on social media or via email
  • Access your timer anytime from the Dashboard
